Edana has been with J Los Angeles since 2015 and has grown JCamp into the thriving camp it is today! Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Edana was an active member of the Jewish community throughout her life. She graduated from Brandeis University with a bachelor's degree in near eastern and Judaic studies and women’s and gender studies with a minor in Hebrew. She also completed her MBA in nonprofit management and master’s in Jewish professional leadership at Brandeis’s Hornstein program where she was both a JCCA Graduate Scholar and a Chizuk Fellow.

Dan joined the J Los Angeles team in 2019. Born and raised in Mexico City, Dan grew up attending the JCC every week where he was part of the soccer and basketball teams. Dan has a bachelor’s degree in sports management and has worked at three different Jewish summer camps in various roles. Dan loves sports and the outdoors, and is thrilled to be working in Los Angeles with the incredible team at J Los Angeles.

Shinshinim are high school graduates who are selected to participate in a Year of Service Program that offers Israeli teens the opportunity to share their enthusiastic spirit with diaspora communities. As an Israeli “ambassador”, AnaEl looks forward to sharing her love and knowledge of Israel with our J Los Angeles community. Her hobbies include sailing, dancing, drawing, and baking. She loves the beach, experiencing new things, and traveling.

Rachel helps connect community members with J Los Angeles programming that fits them. After graduating from Northwestern University with a BA in theater and a certificate in integrated marketing, Rachel accepted a prestigious Luce Scholar Fellowship for a year of community development through theater work in Thailand. With Rachel’s subsequent move to LA came a natural transition from theater into film and television. A 2020 Census worker, Bend the Arc 2021 Jeremiah Fellow, and now J Los Angeles staff member, Rachel leans into work that fulfills their passion for inclusion, justice, and access pursued through Jewish values. Outside of work, Rachel can be found making content online that explores the Jewish and queer experience, recognized by the BBC, ACLU, Jewish Women's Archive, and Forward.

This is Ali's first summer at JCamp and she could not be more excited to be on the Camper Care team! Liora is excited to return to JCamp for her third summer as Camper Care Specialist. She has a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Master's in Jewish Nonprofit Management from the Zelikow School at HUC-JIR. She attributes her love and passion for the field of Jewish camp to her 10 summers at URJ Eisner Camp in MA. Lioracurrently works at BaMidbar, a Jewish mental health organization, as the California Clinical Fellow and Educator. Liora's favorite activity at camp is tie-dye.

Eve is originally from Orlando, Florida – though she prefers the SoCal sun. Since graduating from UCLA with a BA in Creative Writing she has been working in both the entertainment industry and at multiple religious schools in Los Angeles. Her experience in television, theater, and choir helps her bring a dynamic approach to working with kids, full of song, drama, and laughter. She is excited to be joining JCamp for a second year. When not working or writing, she spends her time rock climbing, drinking too many lavender lattes, and playing fetch with her goldendoodle Watson.
JCamp Staff are chosen for their commitment to building community and creating an environment where campers thrive. They are the community builders of JCamp. All counselors participate in extensive training ensuring they're equipped to provide the best possible experience for your children. In addition to training, all staff members are fingerprinted, background-checked, and paid a living wage. JCamp parents consistently praise staff for their ability to create a fantastic camp experience for their children.
